My daughter is enthusiastic and engaged in her creative pursuits as a result and loves sharing her new and unusual techniques with us during family time. As a bonus her handwriting, organisation and presentation of work generally has also triumphed since starting online classes. She chooses interesting and creative subjects and encourages the children to use their imagination as well as learning new techniques. She gives wonderful detailed feedback to challenge them to improve as well as appreciating their achievements. Shalini is an angel ! Truly! My son learnt art from her for a short while, but even in that short while I could see the huge difference in him. He was reluctant initially, but then began to love and look forward to his lessons. She has a gentle approach with the children and even though an art lesson seemed impossible on zoom (or so i thought!) she brings out the best in each and every child. She will guide them at every step , zooming in on their strokes and lines and encourage them to bring out their own individual potential and style of work. She teaches them the techniques and gives them time to explore and be creative. Her feedback to every child is thorough and by no means a criticism. She always carefully researches and plans her lessons in advance and is very organised in letting us know if there is need for any art material, even providing us with the Amazon link (an economical and convenient one !) And if I happened to pass by or pop in during the lesson all I would hear was happy children at work - laughing , questioning and choosing their own individual style of work, sharing their unique creative ideas with Shalini who would join in and then effortlessly bring their focus back to their work ! I would definitely recommend everyone to trial her sessions…. and then you will be hooked ! Truly, I never thought my son could draw or shade ! But the masterpieces he has produced in her lessons have been amazing and are hanging on my walls !

Shalini’ Art it classes are inspirational with Shalini being a wonderful tutor, enthusiastic, friendly and encouraging, always explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. My daughter joined her class five years ago and she loves it and has learnt that art is meant to be creative, fun and individual. It is an excellent, well structured class!!

My son started Shalini’s Art Club face to face since he was 7 years old. Learning from her sharpened his art talent and we could see this in his work as early as he was 8yrs old. He was so excited when she announced that the class will be online during COVID lockdown. It was a good therapy for him during lockdown at the age of 11. My son never wants to miss a single class since then, he has gotten so confident that he chose to take Art for his GCSE. This would have not been possible without the support and encouragement that Shalini provides in her classes. It’s not just an engagement but actual learning based class. Shalini’s classes really helped me grow in my art skills. In addition, she introduced me to different art materials,styles and techniques. She pushed and challenged me to do my best and never give up even if I thought I ruined the art piece. Her classes are in great detail and have very clear instructions and I’m never hesitant to ask her for a redemonstration or help or any other doubts. I believe that I have become more confident in my art and my art skill level has improved immensely since I started.

My daughters had special interest in Art from a very little age and I was keen to find a suitable Art class where they feel comfortable and learn Art without losing that good interest. We were fortunate to come across Art It classes 3 years ago, and even I wondered how we missed to find this best Art teacher all these years. Shalini is very punctual, talented, organised, most caring, patient in explaining things and cares for every child in the class. As a parent, I have observed many times when Art It classes are running in Zoom, every minute of Shalini's class is well spent with children enjoying and doing art. My daughters' enjoy Art It classes and their art skills have drastically improved to create any piece of work with perfection, to do Art in various mediums and they have learnt good techniques for each medium. Shalini's classes are certainly helping my daughters to continue building a skill that requires patience and focus.I can highly recommend Art It classes to anyone who is passionate about Art!
